Do businesses make mistakes?
We have all had a time in our lives were we have purchased a product or service and have not been completely satisfied. Customer relationship management is very important in today’s business world and it makes sense given the fact that, it is more expensive to attract a new customer than it is to maintain existing customers.
With that being said should businesses not target new customers? Of course they should, but they also should not forget their existing customer base. Businesses are allowed to make mistakes but what separates a perfect business and an imperfect one is what they do after committing the bad deed. The first step is to acknowledge their mistake. Next would be determining what steps they need to take to rectify the problem. Customers are forgiving provided that things are made right and that if a mistake is committed; a solution is to follow shortly. A business needs to ensure that the customer is taken care of even if at the time they don’t want anything to do with you. This quick response will either turn the customer into a loyal one, or you can simply bid them farewell, because I’m pretty sure they won’t be doing business with you anytime soon.
