Setting goals

Achieving your goals!
We all have goals that we want to reach in life, like buying a house or a car, opening a successful business and more. Through a simple plan everything seems possible. Even if it takes a while to eventually reach your goal. However, through this journey we experience various things such as determination, dedication, persistence, perseverance, endurance and hard work to help us get there.

It is important to set goals that are clear and reachable. This involves establishing specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-targeted goals. Having said that, have I thought of what a goal means? I did a search online of what a goal really means and I would like to share the meaning.

A goal is the object of a person’s ambition or effort, an aim or desired result. Two types of goals are involved; which could be either a personal goal or a team or organizational goal. Henry David an American author and philosopher once said “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals”.

Once you become a master of your own thoughts and objectives, it is only a matter of time before you clearly see the potential you or your business have to achieve and reach these goals. Both big and small companies will have project managers who work according to deadlines. They usually have time-targeted goals which might include and require certain tools to complete these tasks brought forward.

Time is important since project management need extensive planning and execution of tasks especially in the engineering world. With this in mind, its good to have a trusted and reliable supplier where you are able to get goods on time and at affordable or reasonable prices without any hassles. It just saves so much time and effort when a supplier is able to take over total cost of ownership in the ordering process and customers are just able to place the order and receive their products.

Take RS for example, we really do carry total cost of ownership in the ordering process which means no handling fees or storage of products or even importing hassles etc that our customers need to deal with. We also try and offer added value to support our customers and the industry best we can. Like with the introduction of DesignSpark Mechanical a while back, which helps to design and change product concepts in 3D more quickly and efficiently. Our goal was to make engineers jobs easier. Why not visit DesignSpark and download free 3D software from Designspark which is a great tool to help in achieving time targeted goals. It offers great benefits and saves time and money.

I personally recommend it and here is why:
RS introduced DesignSpark Mechanical with an aim to help engineers to design and change product concept in 3D. And not having to worry about complex traditional CAD software. DesignSpark provides answers to every engineer in an electronic field and provides references from others whom already benefited from downloading and using this cool feature.

While looking through Desighspark I came across a quote from William J. Bennett which had a clearer meaning.
It said “Give yourself an even greater challenge than the one you are trying to master and you will develop the powers necessary to overcome the original difficulty.”
